The bracket I set up had all 65 teams correct

I was 65 out of 65 in chosing which 65 teams would be in this year's NCAA tournament. My previous post correctly predicted the correct bubble teams as well. I thought the committee did a very nice job this year in chosing the field. Some seedings (Louisville - 4 seed too low; Washington - 1 seed too high) I disagree with, but they do the best they can in the time alotted.

Good to see the state of Iowa get 3 at-large bids into the tourney!!!

2005 NCAA Basketball Tournament - Bubble Analysis

OK, let's look at who is still in the running for an at-large bid minus the locks. Bubble teams will not be affected any further now that the mid-major tourneys are over. If your team is not listed, consider them a lock or they have a too poor of a resume to be considered.

# of Bubble Team At-Large Bids Available: 5

List of Candidates - (*) means I think they are in...

Team (W-L, RPI, SOS, Last 10 Games)

NC State (19-12, 62, 50, 6-4) *
Iowa (21-10, 35, 44, 6-4) *
Texas (19-10, 41, 41, 5-5) *
Maryland (16-12, 52, 18, 3-7)
Notre Dame (17-11, 73, 67, 4-6)
Indiana (15-13, 54, 10, 6-4)
DePaul (19-10, 53, 86, 5-5)
UAB (21-10, 49, 46, 5-5) *
Buffalo (22-8, 43, 112, 9-1)
Miami Oh (18-10, 44, 82, 5-5)
UNI (20-10, 39, 75, 7-3) *
Holy Cross (24-6, 66, 203, 9-1)
Wichita St (20-9, 46, 88, 4-6)
Davidson (18-8, 78, 141, 9-1)
Oral Roberts (24-7, 92, 266, 8-20)
St. Joes (19-10, 50, 103, 8-2)

How can Iowa be left out of the field with this competition? I don't see a way - unless someone else can see 5 teams better than Iowa on the list...

EDIT - GW won A-10; thanks for the update.
EDIT2 - I had Ohio as an at-large choice, they won the MAC championship, so another at-large opens up; I'll give it to Buffalo.
EDIT3 - I classify St. Mary's, Nevada, and S. Illinois as a lock, some do not.
EDIT4 - ISU is a lock IMO - I have to take them off the list.
EDIT5 - Added W-L, RPI, SOS, and Last 10 to the list - Stats from kenpom.com, which has the correct RPI formula, as opposed to ESPN.
EDIT6 - UTEP won the WAC tourney.
EDIT7 - New Mexico beat Utah to take an at-large bid away; probably from UNI or WSU.
EDIT8 - Utah St.'s wins their conf. tourney

I also want to be able to provide information and entertainment for anyone who wants to take time to read it. Feel free to put in your two-cents as well!
