MEN'S BB: Jermain Davis wants to be the Big Ten DPOY

In a recent article on Hawkeyesports.com, incoming JUCO transfer, Jermain Davis, stated that his goal (individually) is to be the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year. Now THAT'S what I like to hear. He's always been a lock-down defender, and a person of his skills should keep Iowa in a lot of ballgames.

While his JUCO stats are not eye-popping, you have to watch Jermain to appreciate the little things he does on the court. Iowa fans are going to like the intangibles and hustle Davis brings to the court.

I also enjoyed this blurb:
"After two junior colleges, I'm looking forward to Iowa City," said Davis. "The fan support here is crazy. They support you whether you win or lose. They are not `feel-good' fans. They will always be there."
Can't wait to see Jermain on the court this winter... 38 days and counting.
